In this collection Father Jabusch uses ethnic folk melodies to great effect. The texts are suitable for both feasts and ordinary time. For example, Jesus washing the feet of His disciples is remembered in "How Amazed Were His Disciples." "There is a Banquet" carries us into the upper room but also reminds us of the heavenly banquet. "Come, My Love, the Spring is Budding" is highly lyrical. "O Jerusalem" shows us Jesus weeping over the city that He loved. (The melody is from Finland.) "Jesus, the Thought of You" is based on an old Irish melody. Two charming Marian songs are also included in the 15 selections. The rich
